In a washing machine of the U type, produce can be partially or fully submerged in water during washing. The produce enters the machine via an infeed chute with a water inlet to prevent the sticking of clay and soil. As the drum rotates, vegetables rub against each other and the drum for a gentle clean. Cleats inside the drum maximize washing performance.
The drum of the washing machine plays a very important role in cleaning produce. The choice of a drum depends on the crop and soil condition. The washing machine U type is available with different drum options to choose from. Various cleat options inside the drum are available to provide suitable agitation and movement of produce inside the drum.
In washing machines U type, the flow of produce is controlled by a valve, which can be operated manually or automatically.
Soil and debris collect in the basin underneath the rotating drum. Drain valves regularly to clear debris build-up. Spray tubes can be fitted to rinse the inside of the drum.
The outfeed produce conveyor discharges the produce from the machine at a suitable height and it provides gentle handling. The height of the subframe can vary from 0-3 meters.
