The onion shaver removes tails from produce. When the valve opens, produce rolls onto a rotating sieve where knives underneath cut the tails. The processed produce then moves onto a belt and exits through the outfeed valve.
The onion shaver is designed to efficiently remove tails after the peeling process, ensuring a clean and uniform produce suitable for further processing or packaging. When the inlet valve opens, a batch of produce rolls onto a rotating round sieve. Beneath this sieve, rotating knives gently remove the tails from the produce while the waste falls onto a belt for removal.
The onion shaver is suitable for both stand-alone and in-line applications and supports fully automatic operation.
The enclosed housing ensures safe operation while also reducing noise and dust in the processing area. The shaved onions have a clean appearance, making them particularly suitable for high-quality or luxury packaging.
